| Step 8 - Edit Observations |
The observations page is the main page that you will use to edit your data. It contains all the observation data as well as data about the marks at either end of the selected line. Either use the arrow to select a line from the screen or the arrow second from bottom to select multiple lines at once. Alternatively you can click on the observation in the data grid at the bottom of the page. To select multiple observations from the grid hold down the ctrl key and click on the box at the very left of each observation line, where the arrow is. Once your line is selected simply use the drop downs to set the correct values. If you select a single line then you can edit the details of the marks at either end of the line. You will need to correct the bearing for new boundaries as these will not have been included in the traverse sheet and have come from the lot report (no bearing rounding). DO NOT type the adopted plan reference in, you must first add it as a reference survey on the main page then select it with the drop down arrow . If you alter the BC of a survey on the main page make sure you press the "update B.C of all observations" button to correct all the observation records. The arcs tab is used to edit details for arcs. If you have multi selected lines do not alter any mark details. Use the check obs button to verify that the observations match the join values, you could incorrectly edit an observation or SDRTransfer could mis-read the SDR text file (refer to the how to section for more info on this one)
