Step 5 - Importing data back into SDRTransfer

Open SDRTransfer and open the correct project or re-import the XML file from Landonline.

If you didn't extract any data from Landonline for the survey then simply start a new job.

From this header page select the class of your survey and the equipment used before loading the data from SDRMap. The class and equipment you select will get tagged to all the observations, they can be altered, either all at once on this page or parcel by parcel on the parcels page.

Click the button with the SDR logo "Load from SDR" then select the output text file you created in SDRMap.

You will now see the file you are importing and can edit it if required. If you do edit it please be careful to keep the layout the same ie do not delete the header info from the traverse listing or Parcel listings.

Just press "done" when you are happy with the file.

You will get the form show below next, this gives a look at the stats for the file you have imported, ie there are 37 observations in the traverse sheet. There are 19 unique observations in the parcel listings of which 18 are also in the traverse sheet (as all existing bdys are in the trav sheet), one obs is not matched - this is the new line between lot 1 & 2 which is calculated, the details have been extracted from the parcel listing (you will need to round the bearing on the observation page.)

if you have a marks that are close to each other you will get a message like;

It is VERY VERY VERY important that you check this report and deal with the issue BEFORE you carry on. From this report we can see that there are 2 points for the same mark, from the name of the marks it is obvious that mark 6 is the boundary as defined in the traverse sheet and mark 88 is the marks as shown in the graphics window. We can tell this as mark 6 has a name (peg A) and mark 88 has no name. The good news is that issues like this are really easy to fix. Simply open the SDR text file in a text editor, search for '88' and change it to 6 - when you read it in now there will be only one mark not 2. Note that mark 88 may be in several parcel listings at the bottom of the text file.
