| Step 4 - In SDRMap (parcels) |
Before defining the parcels it is a good idea to have your boundaries and easements in separate layers (in this example only 2 lines will be in the easements layer). Select just the boundary layer then go to define a lot as shown in the image below. This is where it is important that your job is put together well and your parcels close properly. |
it is important to make the setting as they appear below ie:
Note: by selecting printer the output will automatically go to the file we specified when listing the traverse sheet. |
Here I am defining the southern lot, note that I have deleted one line from the easement so the parcel definition is correct. It would have been easier for me to have the easement in a separate layer and have it turned off. To define the lot you may need to click near the boundary line rather than in the middle of the parcel. enter the parcel name with a space before the number ie LOT 1 not LOT1
|
I have now added the easement line back and have defined the easement. I find it is easier to define the primary parcels first, then the secondary parcels (easements). note: call easements, covenant areas etc etc Marked # ie Marked A (this will automatically be recognized in SDRTransfer as an easement)
As you keep defining parcels they are being reported to the text file you set as your printer output. If you make a mistake or output the same parcel twice you can either delete the text file, output the traverse sheet again then do the parcels again, or edit out the incorrect data with a text editor such as notepad or with the editor in SDRTransfer (see below). |
below is an example of a text file that is ready to be imported into SDRTransfer, you can edit out any bad parcels if you want - just make sure the correct ones are full intact. Make sure the text "Lot Report" and its underlining is above the lot name for all parcels.
